From February 18th to 27th, 2026, Dotwalk Ajitara Art Residency presents "Nurturance," an intensive 10-day workshop that serves as a cornerstone of its annual overarching theme. Set within the contemplative environment of the Dotwalk Ajitara Art Residency in New Delhi, this program brings together four influential voices of contemporary Indian art, Arunkumar HG, Basist Kumar, George Martin, and Shailesh BR, to explore the profound conceptual depth of "The Enduring Enigma of Space in Painting." This collaborative inquiry transcends the physical boundaries of the canvas, examining how spatial dynamics reflect our collective social, ecological, and psychological realities. The program features a robust public interface, headlined by an insightful Artist Talk on February 23rd at 5:00 pm, where Arunkumar HG will discuss "Art as a Social Practice," highlighting his renowned commitment to ecological consciousness. This will be followed on February 26th by a high-level Panel Discussion titled "Artistic Choices in Contemporary Times”, offering a critical lens into the navigation of an ever-changing art world. The workshop culminates in an Open Studio, inviting the public to witness the creative evolution and tangible outcomes of this 10-day immersion. By fostering a deep artistic dialogue, "Nurturance" reinforces Dotwalk Ajitara’s mission to serve as a sanctuary for intellectual, artistic, and painterly inquiries, effectively challenging our perceptions of the void and the volume within the painted frame.

Winter Solace 2025, organised under the Dotwalk Ajitara Art Residency in New Delhi, is conceived as a reflective and process-oriented programme dedicated to painterly practices. The residency’s conceptual premise lies in nurturing an environment of material exploration, contemplation, and exchange, where young visual artists are encouraged to deepen their engagement with painting and drawing through both experimentation and critical reflection. Structured as a two-month immersive experience, Winter Solace 2025 provides a space that values slowness, introspection, and the unfolding of ideas within the studio. The programme supports artists through access to fully equipped studios, comfortable accommodation, mentorship from senior practitioners, and peer-to-peer learning opportunities that foster dialogue and collaboration. With financial support in the form of an honorarium and travel grant, the residency ensures inclusivity and accessibility for emerging artists across India. The culmination of the programme through open studios and public presentations allows participants to share their evolving practices with broader art networks, making Winter Solace 2025 an incubator for the next generation of painters and visual thinkers in the country

‘Illusion, Atmosphere and Perspective’, curated by Sujith SN, is a two-week workshop under the Dotwalk Ajitara Art Residency (DAAR), New Delhi. Envisioned as an intensive programme dedicated to senior artists, the residency foregrounds practices that continue to shape and expand the discourse of contemporary painting and visual art in India. Conceived as a reflective and dialogic space, it invites experienced practitioners to engage in focused studio work, share insights from their long-standing practices, and contribute to a culture of mentorship and artistic exchange. While providing a platform for senior artists to explore new ideas and material processes, the programme also positions their engagement as a vital support structure in sustaining DAAR’s broader ecosystem, particularly its biannual two-month residency programmes designed for younger artists. By fostering an environment of intergenerational dialogue and collaboration, ‘Illusion, Atmosphere and Perspective’, curated by Sujith SN, seeks to strengthen the continuum of artistic learning and knowledge-sharing within the field of contemporary visual arts.
